Your Trusted Northwoods Real Estate Expert

With over 45 years of dedicated service in the Northwoods real estate market, Bernie Kazda is a seasoned professional who brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his clients. Born and raised in Sayner, Wisconsin, Bernie has lived his entire life in the Northwoods, giving him an unparalleled understanding of the region. He has witnessed the transformation of St. Germain firsthand, evolving from a small community with just a post office and grocery store into the thriving destination it is today, complete with modern amenities and a growing year-round population.

Bernie and his wife, Janet, have been married over 50 years and are proud parents of two grown children, Kris Kazda and Kelly Roach, as well as grandparents to four grandchildren. His deep roots in the community and passion for the outdoors—whether hunting, downhill skiing at Powderhorn, or snowmobiling—make him not just an expert in real estate but also a true Northwoods enthusiast. This personal connection to the area enhances his ability to match clients with properties that suit their lifestyle and dreams.

Before joining Eliason Realty in 1979, Bernie owned and operated several bars and supper clubs, where he honed his people skills and business acumen—qualities that have served him well in his real estate career. Specializing in home properties and lakefront real estate, Bernie has a particular knack for helping clients find their perfect vacation homes or retirement retreats, often guiding them as they upgrade to bigger and better properties in the Northwoods.

Throughout his career, Bernie has been recognized as a top producer, a testament to his hard work, expertise, and unwavering commitment to his clients. He finds great satisfaction in guiding buyers and sellers through the entire process, from the initial search to the joyous moment of closing. His longevity and success in the industry reflect his ability to navigate both the good years and the challenging ones, always adapting to the market with a positive outlook.
